We're looking for a Creative Studio Manager to oversee the daily operations of a highly skilled and creative Post Production studio. This hands on role will see you manging an exceptional group of retouchers, CGI and motion artists, whilst working closely with Producers and Clients as well as other skillsets from Photographers through to Creatives, Designers and Artworkers. You’ll also enjoy leading by example on a broad range of high end retouch jobs.
The role will see the Studio Manager overseeing the team’s workload, helping to allocate resource effectively whilst ensuring the timely delivery of the highest quality of work. Partnering with the CGI lead and producers, you’ll make sure the best approach to work is used and jobs smoothly transition through post production whether for still or moving image. The role will also offer the opportunity to help enhance processes and profitability, working with global partners and ensuring the latest technologies are being utilised, including AI.
Additionally, you’ll lead high-level retouching in the studio. This’ll involve being across briefs to assess their complexity and leading significant projects from inception to delivery yourself. You should remain passionate about your own retouching as well as overseeing others work, and helping to develop and mentor more junior retouchers in the studio.
Projects will vary from ATL media including DOOH / OOH, Press, TVC’s through to social content and a broad range of digital from emails to work for VoD. You’ll cultivate strong relationships internally and externally to ensure consistency and cohesion no matter the size or type of project.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the Studio team, including Retouch, CGI and Motion Design.
Collaborate with Producers and directly with Clients offering expertise in high-quality visual content production.
Manage team workload and resource allocation, based on complexity of work and different team members strengths.
Lead by example with your own retouching work.
Develop briefs and output as much as possible to get the best out of every job.
Work closely with all relevant teams for best efficiency and quality on projects.
Help to develop and mentor team members as they progress in their positions.
Enhance processes where possible.
Oversee and lead on high-level retouching projects, as well as signing off on work delivered by other studio team members.
Key Requirements
Proven experience as a Lead Retoucher or Post Studio Manager, managing delivery of high end imagery and videos.
Experience managing and leading a team and collaborating with CGI and Motion Design as well as a broad range of other skillsets.
Be a natural communicator who is organised, with attention to detail and takes real pride in all aspects of your work.
Comfortable building relationships at all levels internally as well as with external partners, and importantly with clients too.
Ideally having exposure to photo / video shoots.
Proven track record in high end retouching with a diverse portfolio.
